What happens if i move my navy into a sea where another players navy is, will they automatically fight or will conflict only arise if I declare war, I don't want to lose my ships you see, so if they won't fight i'm alright.

They'll only fight if one of you declares war.

Ok so if I move my navy there and all is peaceful, what if i invade an (at the moment) independant province at the same time as him, will our forces fight it out or not?

No; you'll both fight the Independents (if you land in the same Phase). The player with more troops in the territory after the fighting's done, regardless of how individually powerful those units are, gains ownership of the province. The other guy ends up being a guest on that land.

Right, what if he attacks in phase 1 and wins, but i only arrive in phase 3, i have more troops what happens then, because he conquered it I guess i would be the guest? Or do I usurp him?
