It would encourage ODB play with the guys in the park and increased intensity of learning.

You're absolutely right about the stylus. You must have kids. I think I actually have an old stylus from a Palm iiiX from a hundred years ago....
Excalibur is a good brand though. Supposedly, their chess timer is the only one officially endorsed by the US Chess Federation.
