It's not a premise.... it's fact... and I'm just recalling how they were hardly able to beat Paraquay, were 0-0 after 80 minutes against Trinidad & Tobago and then this match this afternoon.... they aren't just poor, they are a blot on this World Cup

You starting to believe, guys?
I also support Italy. An amazing double life I lead down here. I get two chances to win this thing.

How will the heat have affected them? Game's next Saturday - I guess that is quite a while for recovery. Let's hope we get some nice cold weather in ๐

It should have been a greater difference, but it wasn't. Having said that, the Argentine win was by no means assured.
.... in fact, the Mexicans looked as if they could pull off the one of the greatest upsets in recent world cup history since Pele's injury in 1966 (until that great goal in extra time)
The night before the match Argentina-Mexico, I was thinking that the game could be a win for Mexico, after a tie and going to penalties.
But of course, there's always the random component, that makes this championship enjoyable. No math predictions here.
I think we were lucky against Mexico.
And I must to add that I fear our next encouter against Germany.

It's not only unoffensive but true. England are NOT a good side. They struggled against Paraguay and Trinidad, Sweden destroyed them for much of the game, and they were poor for much of today. Lampard's misses would have stayed with him forever had England lost.
But the fact is, England did not lose. They won. The manner of their victory was not mass ...[text shortened]... n the World Cup! NOT because they are the best, but because sometimes, strange things happen.
I would appreciate seeing the best team winning the Cup.
But it would be "emotionless" if that team doesn't get it bringing to us a nice show. That should be emotionless.
I'm being partial about this, 'cos I'm argentine.
I fear just now Germany.
I don't like to see pussy foot teams in the next matches!
Cheers

You suffer from delusion. It will be Holland's job to kick England out of the tournament in the next match, and then we will play Brazil....
