I am getting an error message stating that a servor error has occurred and to report it! It's error VH4 whatever that means, but it's interfering with my games and I have a tourn. game I've been watching almost continuously for three days as I have less than an hour left!! What happens if this dang site goes down and I cannot move??? How do I get my lost time restored???

Yeah, It's not my turn!! What I'm saying, (and apparently it's a moot point, as it's quit doing it now) is that, IF it happens just after my opponent has made a move and I cannot get back in quickly, I could lose the game on timeout with no chance to refute his move!! As I'm anywhere from 1 move (Blunder on his part) to eight moves (Forced mate) from the games finish, this could cost me a win in the tournament! I grantcha this is a small thing as it means the difference between fourth and sixth in the finish but, I've spent weeks getting to the place I'm in --- which, now that i really look at it ain;t as great as I thought!! Ah, He**, never mind!!🙂

Russ often 'freezes' time when he has trouble like this, consider posting in the thread and asking if times will be frozen until the problem is sorted.

Your opponent has 2 days 1 hour and 55 minutes of timebank remaining.
You have only 47 minutes left.
Unless you are going to be awake and online for the next nearly 50 hours your opponent could make a move while you are sleeping and then time you out.
They really have you by the short and curlies!
Thx for pionting this out!! Actually I DID wake up almost every hour and, during the times I had to go to work I had two people watching the game to call and tell me if he moved!! They actually called me at a customer's where I was starting up a new hydraulic unit I had built for them! The hyd. unit was computer controlled with access to the internet so I was able to make my move while my customer watched!! As he's a chess nut I showed him how to get onto the RHP site! Also, I DID win the game with a surprise Checkmate! I also must affirm my opponent did not time me out the instant my clock ran out or I would have lost! I was only able to make three moves after the 47 minutes before my time simply ran out from the vissictitudes of life!!

While a game is in progress you may not refer to chess engines, chess computers or be assisted by a third party. Endgame tablebases may not be consulted during play but you may reference books, databases consisting of previously played games between human players, and other pre-existing research materials. .
