Also BLT's with the T's fresh from my garden.
Smoked Turkey breast, Alpine lace swiss, red onion, Arnold's Healthnut bread, avocado, fresh spinach leaves, more tomato from the garden, washed down with a glass of Pennsylvania lager, with chips and quacamole.

Originally posted by SJ247Actually, quinoa is great (nutritionally), but kind of bland on its own. You just need to dress it up right. It's like white rice or pasta or whatever...not much flavor by itself, but if you add good ingredients, it can be very tasty.
What magic can you and missus work with...quinoa. I want some Ultimate Chef material here, I had it tonight, and it SUCKED. I want it, but I want it better.
What do you like?
Dried cranberries and slivered almonds?
Crumbled feta cheese and olives?
Garlic and sundried tomato?
Pretty much anything will work. Look at any tasty cous-cous recipe and add those ingredients (substitute cous-cous for quinoa).
Originally posted by rbmorrisI bought a premixed quinoa, almonds, raisins, whatever else was tossed in, didn't realize I could look for the stuff by itself. I will, I like the mediterranean style couscous, will try that.
