What is 'American cheese'?

A grilled cheese should only be made with Emmental IMHO...


My fav sangrich is pastrami, gherkins, camambert and sweet mustard on a wholewheat bun. The local deli gets at least one visit a week from me for that baby...

So what do you guys called grilled cheese?

When I hear "grilled cheese" I think of actual cheese being placed on the grill, just as with any piece of meat. And for that purpose, there's nothing better than halumi cheese, which I think it's traditional in Cyprus or Malta.

I like sausage, egg and cheese. Thats my all time favorite.
Its turkey and hame with egg batter dipped bread, also is sometimes served with thousand island instead of aus jus

A Primanti Brothers sandwich. The roast beef is awesome. For those who don't know what a Primanti Brothers sandwich is, it involves two nice slices of Italian bread followed up with roast beef (or your choice of meat), cheese, tomato, cole slaw (without the sauce), and french fries. It is soooooooooooooooo good.

What I sense around here is that, with a few exceptions*, everybody loves bacon. People, for all of you bacon lovers, please receive hereby a brotherly hug, and my sincere recognition for your good taste.

Let's rejoice ourselves in this bacony life of ours, and celebrate our mostly sure heart attack death with a toast... with bacon on top.


* The exceptions are people that, from now on, I am not interested in having any kind of exchange. I may even include them in my ignore list 😛

Yeah, like there is some magical beast that gives you all of bacon, ham, and pork.

Bacon is great. I like black pepper covered bacon (I'm talking about the stuff that is rubbed on after the pig is killed so it gets to sit there in its own juices). It is soooo good.

My fav, a nice overstuffed Reubens: lean corn beef, swiss, sauerkraut, spicy mustard on good rye bread. Throw in some steak fries and a ice cold brewski and I tell ya, it doesn't get any better then that!
