Lol I'm closing in on 50 being playing these things since red moon on the old tape drive comps. , did FF7 some years back.. that was fun,, very expansive. Just did x-10 on ps2 and though too girlie for my taste it was mindless fun.
PC game Elder Scrolls Morrowind was the best.. really enjoyed that during the winter evenings.. better than the rubbish on tv and it was a laugh that my son and son in law were playing it at the same time.. got quite competitive.

No, there are others who have not played them. For example, people who have never seen a television.
Considering how inexpensive past games would now be, the easiest way for you to find out would be to simply purchase a copy.
And as to what is so brilliant about them, there are many reasons. Some would say the plot could easily be compared to ...[text shortened]... he gameplay and the choices in how to level up characters. Either way, it's worth checking out.

Final Fantasy is a little more flexible, but it's extremely long. So if you're not careful you can get sucked into that, but at least it has an end.
I assume you are reffering to World of Warcraft when you say WOW. I have not played it, but it is immensly popular with people who have have far too much times on their hands.
But as stated you are in danger of losing any chance of a life by playing it, plus I believe you have to pay a monthly fee. Worth considering if you spend a large amount of evenings bored.
Plus you are playing with others online, while Final Fantasy is one player (excluding FF11 which I haven't played.)
I advise you try Final Fantasy games, but considering I have not played WOW, it's up to you perhaps to research them? Plus now I think about it, one being one player and the other multiplyer only makes them too different to compare really.
