What is so great about these games anyway?
Am I the only one who has never played any of these games, ever?

😕

I haven't either - I thought I was the only one, must be more of us around than we thought.

No, there are others who have not played them. For example, people who have never seen a television.

Considering how inexpensive past games would now be, the easiest way for you to find out would be to simply purchase a copy.

And as to what is so brilliant about them, there are many reasons. Some would say the plot could easily be compared to that of a particularly entertaining novel, which is an impressive accomplishment for a video game. This is accompanied by characters that you actually care about and want to know what happens to them.

Others are more keen on the gameplay and the choices in how to level up characters. Either way, it's worth checking out.

I've heard differently, my friends have said that some of the games like Final Fantasy VII sell for something like £50 and more.
And for these earlier games I'd also have to buy another Playstation as my current old one is broken, and I'm not getting a PS2 to play the other games either.

Maybe we are a chess-playing sub group or something. 😕

Well if you're already so set on not purchasing the console to play it, why did you start the topic?
Just to vent frustration that so many people are enjoying it but you're not and never will?

All of my friends keep going on about it, I feel left out...😞

Ask them to leave the game/s to you in their will. Sorted.

How will this help me in the short-term?
Unless I kill them...😕

I'm sure you would be handed the games once you are inside your cell.

Hmm, being confused when I'm talking with my friends, or getting nailed when I drop the soap...
Hmm, what a choice. 😕

Well, I just finished FFX for the second time. I can't explain why I would waste another 78 hours of my life on the game...

I can tell you the ending was bunk. Again.

Edit - Oh yeah, FFX2 sucks toe cheese.
