FireFox WITH GreaseMonkey lets the RHP scripts work.
I've also added a calculator, quiz addicts toolbar (asks random questions / good for a break)

Wiki and Google search toolbars
Auto Spell Check
Fire FTP (an FTP access built right in when added)
Linkification (underlines links for clicking)

More more more depending what you like.

I can type this message, and if there is info on another page I open a tab, get the info... and give it to you.

I can have my game page open. General forum, sports... Yahoo... Webster dictionary... etc.

ctrl T opens the new tab, or right click a link, hit T and it opens in the new tab.

I hate tabs. they annoy me.

there's tabs in ie7 as well though, so the annoyance is equal.

It's much easier with firefox to flip backwards and forwards between tabs. At least that's what I find and I use IE7 as well [with it's orrible tabs]

The tab has the name of the page right there to click on, rather than alt+tab or going to your menu bar.

For me, the most important reason to use Firefox rather than Opera or IE is the extra functionality I get in TFC using the extension and Greasemonkey scripts. For example, I can see in the forums which threads I have posted in and which threads have new posts, I get the FEN and ECO information (if available) right under my games, I can look up the position of the game in the Games Explorer with one click, I get a link to my clans in the "My Home" menu, etc.

Tabs are nice, but Opera has them, too. What's nice is that you can customize Firefox so much by installing extensions. Some of the extensions are things which are built in in Opera, for example linkification or mouse gestures, but there's a lot more.

They are add ons that usually add functionality.
There's a RHP extension available.
