I got a new software firewall and the thing is cool, it blocks cookies, ads and scripts. Problem is that I can log in only to see "games waiting" but then when clicking on the games it says "cookies warning". Anyone know a way round this?

Eat the cookies, preferably with milk.

Only kidding. Set them to be accepted everytime for this site?

If that doesn't work one of the proper geeks here will no doubt be able to help.

Blocking adverts means you are using this site fraudulently.

There should be a setting to allow cookies. Or to allow specific sites.

Why is that? Firefox comes with extensions to block ads, refresh blockers, pop stoppers etc. I'm not telling anyone else to do this or mentioning which firewall I'm using so how is that fraudulent?

Fraudulent means "deceptive". The ads are being served but are being "eaten" by the firewall, so its not like I'm preventing the ads being served.

I think you should PM Russ with that info.

Why is that necessary? How many Firefox users with adblock have PMed Russ? Adblock has been out for many, many years just to let you know.

From the servers perspective there is no difference between a user with adblock, a firewall like mine or none at all. The ads are still displayed.

I did, months ago.

Anyone who doesn't use a firewall these days is asking for trouble.

Why? Many adservers contain iframes of little nasties so firewall makers decided to tackle this a long time ago. I saw on another forum that users entering that site (a well respected chess site) are warned by their software about a trojan. Can you dig it?

The problem is not with the site you are visiting but the ad bureaus you belong to/sign up to, some nasty stuff gets snuck in.
