Try thousands.
Estimated ~3,000 "working" and many non-working.
Not to mention all of the space junk.

If we don't need a globe to achieve circumnavigation (it's possible to start at any point of the planet, travel in an east o ...[text shortened]... onnected to the earth, at what point do the forces of the so-called "vacuum of space" take over?[/b]
It is none of those effects that give the depth. It is sound waves, which penetrate rock rather nicely and different kinds of rock will deflect sound in different directions and that sound penetrates thousands of miles deep. When you give a major thump to the Earth that sound wave goes off in all directions underground at whatever the speed of sound is in the different kinds of rocks, every time a different speed is encountered, it reflects some of it back to the transponder picking up the sound waves. It is rather simple stuff, not rocket science.

But then you would have a negative for that also.

You seem to have this knack of delivering so much but actually saying very little. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and so far you are yet to produce anything of substance.

Back to the conspiracy angle which you dodged, how many people do you think are involved in this conspiracy?
The extraordinary claim here is a globe earth.
To date, no one has brought forth anything to support such a position.
To date, no one has answered the question: why has NASA presented lies as truth?
To date, no one has answered the question: how are we able to see objects which ought to be below the horizon?

My claim, if there is one, is that these questions remain unanswered.
That with these unanswered questions call into question the veracity of a globular earth.
That facts which ought to be easily demonstrated but which are not, are likely not facts after all.

Re-read that, please.
We cannot drill any further than seven miles into the ground.
Cannot.
As in, it's impossible for us to go any further.
But we can, using sound waves, x-rays and accelerated particles sent 3,000+ miles into the ground, determine what lies below the surface.
That's not science.
That's science fiction.

So how many people have been involved in the conspiracy? You are still yet to say.

Look, I know you feel completely bolstered in your confidence that it just couldn't be that a large group of people could POSSIBLY want to advance a particular line of thinking by the findings of a certain Oxford research paper which unequivocally and without question determined a number in the 400,000 just for the faking of the moon walk, but...

Do you really think EVERYONE is privy to ALL of the information?
Or is it more likely they are compartmentalized and limited to their specific fields?

Putting that aside, if the sheer number of people required of such a cabal was, in itself, enough to prove such a cabal is impossible, why would NASA lie about so many things?
Why would NASA lie about ANYTHING, ever?

Please convince me that the world is flat sir, in no more than seven words.

More silliness.
No vacuum can exert a force.

So the sealed compartments used for space are pointless, eh?

I can do it in six:

Visibility of distant, below-horizon objects.

Now, with the same limitations, make your case for a globular earth.
I'll spot you an extra word in order to use the entire seven.

You think people have been into space?
You are slipping boy.

Your granddad's misinformed, or he is lying.
