"Congratulations, you have been selected to win 2 free Ipod Nanos".
Only non-subscribers will understand the horrific torture of hearing this said by some bimbette in a banner ad every other time the refresh button is pressed.
Surefire way of converting us non-subs to subs πππππ

Cool, I never really considered those options. I'll probably give them a try.
I don't mind most of the ads, it's the most recent Nano one that has me climbing the walls. Hopefully it'll end its run soon.
btw, aren't ad blocks a kind of a violation or something on this site? Ads are, afterall, a second form of revenue for RHP I would imagine.....
I've just reread the TOS and found two parts mentioning ads:
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
...You also understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for RHP to provide the Service...
+ possibly...
16. RHP'S PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
You further acknowledge and agree that Content contained in sponsor advertisements or information presented to you through the Service or advertisers is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and laws. Except as expressly authorized by RHP or advertisers, you agree not to modify, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on the Service or the Software, in whole or in part.

You're welcome. π

If this site wasn't here then I guess I would go elsewhere as there'll always be alternatives....... All as memebership does is show a sign of commitment to other members and the site. Advertisments, as such, keep Russ's finances going much more than our membership.... so actually, we don't really rely upon non-subscribers that much because there will always be new subscribers, and the advertisers know that......
Proof once again that the subscribers are relying on our continuing membership.
You're welcome. π
