I was washing some grapes today that I had purchased at the store yesterday.
While I am running them under cool water, out pops a big spider.
We have spiders around here, but there are only a few varieties, and this was DEFINITELY not of the normal variety.
It was a very large spider and not normal looking.
So I checked where the grapes were from and they are from Mexico.
Should I be suspicious of the spider? Should I take it to some sort of spider police for imported fruit?
Could there be more suspicious spider roaming my house now?
Ugh!

If it is scowling at you, on the other hand, it probably wants to be placed in a glass tank with a telephone and refrigerator.

Seriously, I'm on the edge of the Rockies, very dry climate (12 inches or precipitation in a year). Not many bugs around here at all thank goodness.

That lady got a black widow! Would you describe the one you got? I am curious what kind it might be. How big was it (in centimeters or inch fraction)? What color? Was it one of those with a big abdomen, like black widows, or small abomen like those jumping spiders?
