America is an amalgamation of people from everywhere.

New Englanders in general are very proud of their roots and heritage. My family on both sides came to America in the 1600's. We are of Scottish (primarily), English and Irish decent(sic). The Irish came from my great grandmother who immigrated from county Kerry (Dingle to be precise).

Having said that, our American ancestors came to the new world to create a new life, and eventually a new nation, and threw off the yoke of royal oppression. By the way, how much longer will you Brits be subsidizing the lifestyles of one of the most arrogant, inbred, royal families in the world?
