I like RHP better mainly because it has a white background... GameKnot has a black one and it doesn't work for me. Anyone have similar feelings?

No. I like RHP better because GameKnot sucks. Terrible, terrible chess site.

LOL. Yeah, well for me, that singular aspect has a big influence on my ability to play there. Its amazing how much a colour can affect your mood. One thing I do like however is the ability to trigger conditional moves. Thats pretty neat.

the old legacy board here at time for chess is the best board in the world.
the general forum here is lousy with low life comments .

You can bet that look and feel is important and if RHP looked like gameknot you can bet I would never have joined. Some of the colour schemes used by the virtual hosts timeforchess/immortalgame etc are not pleasing either.

Give Time For Chess a week, and you will get used to it. After that, when you view RHP or RHC your eyeballs fall out with the bright contrasts of red and white.

Chess@work.com is better, even easier on the eye, black and white...nice and simple. 🙂

Disagree. Actually Time for Chess or Chess at work are much more appealing to the eye and to play on. The Red and White gets annoying if you are playing a lot of Chess. I am a Time For Chess addict.. with a jump to the immortal or to CAW from time to time. If RHP only had the RED and white ..i would get tire of it or try to find a way to change the coloring.

Actually the alternative to Red is one of the major appeals to the site for me...

Well said. CAW is a good colouring scheme...

Why the Red and White..? most annoying to the average person.. only good for advertising.........
