So join a popular site, keep drawing... develop a fan base and perhaps you'll start making money.
I've also heard a lot about "starving artists" so don't expect an easy answer to your idea to make cash with your art, very few do unless you really stand above the rest.

Art, like music, is a subjective pleasure. So please, can we call it an 'exhibit' as opposed to a contest?
Either term works for me, but I find "contest" significantly more exciting and motivating.
Anyway, I won't have time to do anything till after I get back from vacation, but if anyone's interested, let me know. I'd be happy to organize something.
