Is it done then? Why was I not given more notice? As a contributing author I really did expect some kind of forewarning 😠

Dear GBS: Happy 4th to you as well!

As to the story reaching such an abrupt end without notice, please know that I, too, find that terribly disturbing and unfair. Those endings do just sneak up and pounce completely out of control. It is just like my games, i'm going along fine, thinking everything is just delightful, and for some reason, heaven only knows why, my opponent usually goes and ends it all suddenly by capturing a major piece from me and mating me. Really, sometimes it is just too much . .. . fun. 😛😀😉🙂

Thanks for the wishes but I'm Canadian and we celebrated our "4th" on the 1st.

RHP Literary Notice: Appropriately, on this time honored day, we have now finally achieved our independence from this captivating general

forum community experiment. Our novel, "The Omega Millennium", and short story, "Gone Were The Flowers", and children's storybook,

"Mommy, It's Over", are now part of the living history of the internet and on their own. A (revisionist) history book might be fun. Hmm...

Thanks to all.

at all, decisions were being taken and grand plans were being made.

2. plans which would shape the future "earth" but would leave almost no sign that the "eewoks" ever existed at all........ALMOST no sign.

3. In the beginning, not really quite "the beginning", but for our purposes, pretty close to "a beginning", the Creator declared "let there be light. Odd that was though, as there was nothing yet to illuminate, and nothing from which light, be it photons or waves, or both, depending, could be discerned or deduced. This didn't really matter, though, as the issue wouldn't really become salient for either 6,000 years (or 14 billion), or nearly an eternity, dending on your counting system. For those of us who use our fingers and toes though, it was a very long time ago.

4. Manuel, God's forman, looked at him (in an indirect way of course) and said, "Excuse me Sir but what exactly is light?" God replied, "Look I just come up with the ideas, you make them happen, got it?"

4. And so it came to pass that the first universal utilities authority was formed. Fortunately, it would be 2000 (earth) years before the invention of papyrus by the Sumerians, setting off for some reasonable period of time the task of billing for the light.

5. Yet we seem to leap forward before the foundations are even laid, much less planned. Manuel is a metaphor for mankind in a much

later time frame. Utilities are merely a transmission vehicle of record in Volume Five. The Creator is a spirit being comprised of light. In Him

there is no darkness at all. So this incredible conference of divine decrees occurred in eternity past, requiring patience and a long view..

6. And there was light and after a while the light grew less and less and God said, "Let there be daylight savings time" and there was.

7. Multi-tasking as usual, the eventual seed of the ill fated savings & loans was also being sown.
