Bloody technology, so i've got a copy of 'Avi Dvd' burner , installed it, converted an episode of my favourite tv show onto a dvd to watch on my dvd payer---all seems good, but it won't play.
aaaaahhhhh, says its a 'bad' dvd, and when i try it on my laptop it kinda works but its playing on fastforward.........
Any ideas from people with more brains then me???
edit: after converting i have the following files waiting to be burnt:
video_TS.BUP (22kb)
Video_TS.IFO (22kb)
video_TS.VOB (10kb)
video_01_0.BUP(40kb)
VTS_01_0.IFO(40kb)
VTS_01_0.V0B(1Okb)
VTS_01_1.VOB(879,174kb)
i'm assuming the last one is the episode i want, so do i just burn this and bin the rest???
Or does anyone have ideas one better(easy to use) software that will allow me to watch x-vid/avi on my dvd player???

The Nero software I downloaded worked well but the disc still wouldn't play in my dvd player.
Originally posted by muleoI tried everything on there, except I have yet to contact SONY for Codecs as Bowmann suggested. I'll try that next when I have some free time.
just had a look and i'm none the wiser, you figured out how to do it yet??
found a app. called DIKO thats freeware, but haven't tried it yet......
My experience with most freeware is that it sucks. The Nero program I downloaded is very cool (found it for free on thepiratebay.org) and has basically every function you could ask for. Maybe I'm not using it properly - but I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the problem is with the hardware. Anyways, if you find something that works, holla back.
