Wow. We got six weeks in primary school and grammar school, and three months in university/college. Still great compared to what most people get once they work - I get five weeks over the whole year now.
The holidays are about the same, 2 months but spread out differently.
3 weeks instead of 2 for Christmas, and then few more days here and there for holidays.
Feel sorry for those kids.

Ah, so you didn't have any spring or autumn break? Actually I think I'd prefer it the way we had it then. Now I usually save some days to be able to take some days off in autumn, otherwise the time between the end of the summer holidays and Christmas gets very long (no bank holidays there either).
Univ/College we get all the holidays, 4 months off May-Aug and then 1 week for Reading week - Basically an early spring break.
