After the death of Pablo Escobar, his estate had a sales of his “private” zoo. I thought…hmmmm a zoo eh. I wonder if there are any hippos on the auction block and there was indeed so I bid on one and guess what? I won. Now we have a swimming pool so I figured we’re, “in like flint”. Wrong, although the pool is somewhat big it was not big enough for the one I purchased and do you know how much those beasties eat? Do you know how vicious they are? Well after a few months of ownership, we had to dispose of it. I couldn’t sell it, though try I did. In the end I just turned it loose. BTW hippos don’t do well in the winter.

Now we had a pumpkin patch in our back yard that, oddly, although there were the beginnings of a good crop, by the time we expected them to be ready for picking there were none to be found.we called the authorities who, on investigation determined that maybe, just maybe, the hippo was somehow involved though no obvious clues were ever discovered. If it were involved I’m pretty sure there’d have been some clues…ya know like foot prints.
