I have read a book, where the author was reporting on the Lady who discovered Granny Smith in Australia. I am surprised to hear that they are grwon in Sweden.

If I not mistaken and I have never been, I believe that a young Australian person ate a Granny Smith apple 🍏a loooooooong time ago and tossed the core into the ocean and it is said that the core, somehow, likely the ocean currents, made it’s way to Sweden’s shore and was tossed via a monster wave, inshore and there it started. True story.👍
