I've got a very nice buffer to protect me from anything Canadian, but thanks for your concerns.

I'm thinking we're talking about upper New York, near the Great Lakes. Could be wrong.

Lake Effect Snow is actually a specific phenomenon that is different from "ordinary" snowfall.
