Googled this and can't find any help.

My new laptop is a widescreen (Gateway) (17"😉 because it has the number keypad, which I need. It is also driving me nuts. On most web sites the right side of the page is cut off. For example, right now I can see the Tournaments icon/link and below that My Private Forums. I can no longer see whether or not I have any games or messages. All web pages are like that. When I change the screen resolution all that does is make the pages blurry with larger print generally but that's it. It doesn't return the right side of any page. When I change the font size and picture size it does those things but doesn't return the right side of any page.

How do I resize this stupid thing so that I can see the whole web page -- any whole web page????

ati graphics card? I think it was possible to set the screen size different from desktop size, so that part of the desktop is actually outside your screen. the settings for it were somewhere in the ati catalyst control center?

if it's another card, I still suspect screen size vs. desktop size is your problem.

Diddle with the settings... in xp just right click the desktop then click 'graphics' and play around with that. You can always go back to the original settings if you muck things up too much.... but I'm assuming you are on a chess site's help forum so you might already have done that, sorry if that is redundant. 😕

*edit* dang it Dutch... it's past your bedtime.....

I changed it to each possible setting, to no avail.
