Now there is a bridge but back in the day you had to bribe 'Premier' a fifth of rum to take you across Fresh Creek in his little boat unless you got free ride at 5 AM and 5 PM, totally filled with natives. I should say overfilled🙂
My ex did all her BSAC training in minimum visibility; gravel pits and muddy estuaries.
Never did see the attraction!
I enjoyed some easy snorkelling in Med but never went deeper than 2m. !!
