Yes, anything that anyone might possibly deem in any way offensive should result in an immediate ban. Oops, Red. Sorry! "Scum" is kind of an offensive word. And besides, you're flying the flag of a country that murdered tens of millions of it's own people. You're going to have to go.
Oh Noes! I've got the word "bottoms" in my location. Someo ...[text shortened]... s a killer and there's nothing more offensive than that! You! OUT OF THE POOL!
Luck posted a few borderline posts before the US elections.
He then used a racially offensive word in connection with ACORN, for which he received a short ban and warning to not use the term.
He then used it again over the weekend in the same context.
Please tell me, how much derogatory racial terms should a person be allowed to use before getting banned?

Oh Noes! I've got the word "bottoms" in my location. Someone might interpret that as posteriors and get all bent out of shape.
So, I doubt that interpreting the word bottom as posterior could possibly be a mistake.
EDIT: I do realize the possibility of a not too subtle double entendre.

sure it might offend some people but i would be arguing the fact that all israelis are loud, selfish jackasses and it's an illegal country anyway.
been thinking of starting that for a while after meeting a lot of them traveling but haven't got around to it yet...will it just be deleted?

I can't see why it would be outright deleted, as long as you stay within the ToS and forum guidelines.

It's hard to imagine someone using a questionable word or idea in a DEBATES forum. Oh, wait. You're right. We should all debate only the things we agree on. đ
Originally posted by leisurelyslothBosse's point is that the word shouldn't be used. It will likely get modded, but to think this is even remotely comparable to what Luck did just shows how poor your reasoning skills are (i.e. you're an idiot).
I guess we'll see now, a nice demonstration of the fairness of the mods. Bye bye Bosse.
Originally posted by PalynkaLuck's use of the term was in Debates, not General. We won't know the context since it's been removed. Bosse's was purely gratuitous and in General. Clearly there's no mitigating factors in Bosse's case.

Luck was arguing for something the mods disagree with and Bosse is on the same side as the mods. The real point here is that the mods toss people not based upon the words they use....they toss them for their disagreement. Interesting Debates forum, when you ban the people you disagree with.
