Correspondence Chess? Sure, that always helps.

What were you doing in your living room? The right place to be when you are sick is the bedroom!
My couch is much more comfortable, and I can put the laptop on a TV tray (little folding table).

There aren't any old bottles in an alcoholic's home.

Liar.

Well, I just made one and starting slurping it. Tastes pretty good, and I can sense the cloves through my sinuses.

Thanks a ton, Cadwah!

Hello pretend friends,

The past few days, I have had a super bad cold and absolutely no energy; unusual for me as I rarely ever get sick. Somebody please offer me some home remedies or concoctions that could help me. I've been drinking hot tea with lemon and honey steady and I'm quite sick of it.

Thanks in advance,

Mr. Sick

Some rest, chicken soup, and a good stiff drink, and more rest.
You have my deepest sympathies, and I will keep you in my prayers.
God bless

I thought this was going to be a thread about Flyleaf. 😞

But if it's a remedy you're looking for, try hot milk with black pepper, turmeric and honey. It's soothing, effective and tastes surprisingly good.

I've got a good cold remedy - It always seems to work for me.

You want to get fresh orange juice, fill a large cup and heat it - I use the microwave, but the hob will do too. Half way through heating (about 2-3 mins in said microwave) sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon and stir into juice and continue to heat. Then add a large spoon of honey and stir into it.

Enjoy - Orange for vitamin C, honey to sooth sore throat and the cinnamon helps to clear your head and nose.
Worth experimenting to get the balance of the ingredients right...

This sounds vaguely familiar to something my mom used to give us when we were sick.....I think she called it....Hottie Tottie.

I always wondered why I have a preference for whiskey....it's all starting to make sense now.
