every time i open up a second IE window, the first one is replaced with the second one and i cant have two or more opened at once. this started yesterday, and idk why.
I installed it and it handles multiple windows fine. Also fixes alot of other bugs too.

how do you fix the problem?
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Folder Options.
On the General tab, under Browse Folders, click Open each folder in its own window.
If you select this option, every folder will open in a new window.
By default, each folder you open appears in the same window and overwrites the previous window contents.
Better idea:
Get IE7 and set it to "open in new tab".
Even better idea:
Get FireFox and set it likewise.

And now you're even more fortunate, as you get to experience Firefox 2 straight away. Internet Explorer sucks the sweat off dead men's private parts.

and as to IE7 - it seems to block access to the internet if your ISP doesn't use IPv6 yet. I get that all day long here (Ireland.) If you use IE7 and can't see any websites, you need to change the setting in network connections to not use IPv6.
Plus - Greasemonkey scripts with FF.
