Tasty choons await.

I've got dozens people lined up outside my house in Star Wars costumes.

I'm more than halfway but that's also because I've limited choice on my laptop.

If it takes too long, you're over-thinking it. 🙂

My main musak harddrive failed a few weeks ago, losing about 60 gig of choons, so I'm fairly limited to what I can put in. :'(

It's better if we just provide the playlist on RHP. Then, after listening to a sample somewhere online, we can buy the choon if we like it. I don't think Russ wants the fora to become a place for file exchanging.

I meant to post this sooner...

A little overlap (Amon Tobin, Zero dB) between ours, but not too much. I'm a big fan of Tobin (I might have posted "Lighthouse" too if I hadn't shared that already) and that entire Zero dB album is very solid.

01 Jaymay - Gray or Blue
02 Zero dB - A Pompa Girou
03 Skalpel - Long Distance Call
04 Breathe Me - Sia
05 Tu M'intrigues - General Elektriks
06 Tamarindio - O Cote Soul Sounds & Adrian Quesada
07 To Catch a Thief - Nathaniel Merriweather (Dan The Automator)
08 Part 4 - ( From Sixtoo, "Jackals & Vipers in Envy of Man" )
09 Ankle Injuries - Fujiya & Miyagi
10 Beverly's Potato Orchestra - Venetian Snares
11 Blueberry Boat - The Fiery Furnaces
12 Creatures - Amon Tobin
13 Transfatty Acid - Lamb
14 Success (Thievery Corporation Remix) - DJ Cam

Slightly different vibe in mine I think compared to the other 2.

Hope ye like a couple of the choooooons on mine anyway, its fairly eclectic (but also limited due to time constraints and busted hard drive). There are definitely a couple of chunes on there that you'll either love or loath, especially 1 and 4.

1. Beirut - Gulag Orkestar
2. Andrew Bird - Plasticities
3. Jens Lekman - Pocketful of Money
4. Declan O Rourke - Gallileo
5. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
6. Troublemakers - Get Misunderstood
7. Mark Farina - Dream Machine
8. Slowtrain - In the Black of the night
9. Darc Mind - Outside Looking In
10. Black Mighty Orchestra - Ocean Beach
11. Attica Blues - Blueprint
12. Yonderboi - Pabadam
13. The Knife - Heartbeats
14. Herbert - Something isn't right
15. Bajofondo Tangoclub - Miles de Pasejeros

Sweet. A few choooooons on there that I'd considered...Jens Lekman, Mark Farina & The Knife.

Already previewed Palynka's. Very solid throughout. A lot more cohesive than mine, but then again, that wasn't really what I was shooting for.

Now we just have to wait for that ginger kid.

Anyone else feel like contributing?

I'm still only at 6 tracks, and on a completely different vibe... will throw the rest together this evening and stick it up to see how it goes down.

I'm assuming that your assuming that its a cover of Jose's song.

ACTUALLY, The Knife's is the original. Pretty sweet vid as well.

I have to admit that I'd struggle to really reccommend their stuff. A couple of superb choons, and a few terrible ones.

I wasn't sure which was which. If I had to guess, I would have said The Knife's version was the cover. I like that vid. I think rhb or someone sent me that a while back. I have "Silent Shout" by The Knife. Agreed, their stuff can be very hit or miss (some of the misses being pretty ugly).

Not me, I don't know the knife.

Looking forward to hearing all your playlists - they'll be going on mp3 player shortly, and in car on cd's if they fit 😠😉

Mine's done...under duress I've turned out something ok and original (was almost led astray having looked at all yours! ). I just want to hear the change from track to track through once again. Will post shortly.

If time allows next week I might try to put it into a single track mix at some point too - will be a nice challenge to get me working with my choons once again.

That's the problem. I think my sequence of tracks is good, but the transitions are a bit dependent on the files because I have no editing software. A little trim here and there would have been needed.

Oh well.
