Life may not be the party that we hoped for,
but while we are here we might as well dance.

By the way she hasn't been back for a few days.
Did she do it? Hope not. Just remember: God
always gives His best to those who leave the choice with him.

I would be surprised if she had.
14 year old girls have alot of shoes to wear out.
Life is the future not death.
Miss Hope will spend more than she can afford on shoes.
That is life

The point of life is to learn as much as possible about this life in the flesh. It only happens once, so don't blow it. Never consider suicide. It's the worst thing you can do as far as messing up your stay in eternity. You could be nothing but a memory if you choose that route. Continue to live and you won't regret it. Kill yourself, and you will be the coward of the universe. Tough it out, and see what hapens. Curiosty should keep you interststed in the living experience.

You know, it might not be an appropriate question. Life might not have much to do with "points". Does a puppy have a point? Does a maple tree? Does an amoeba? I dunno. If you're looking for hints about how to orient yourself in life, an internet chess site might not be the best hunting ground. Personally, I would recommend fishing or birdwatching. Much more full of life.

I think one can learn a lot about an individual by the thread in which they lose their 'forum virginity'. Scaccerus, congratulations on your first post, and what an interesting one it is.

I think we just rot. Sorry, but I think humanity has no greater purpose or meaning than any other animal. A brain works due to electrical impulses, unless those impluses are maintained artificially when you die the power is switched off and that is that.

Thats why life is for the living, coz once it is over, it is over.

I agree, but in one sense you do not cease to exist after death. Shakespeare, or for that matter Douglas Adams, left behind more than some ash or a collection of bones. Even if humanity dies out, some of our works will be extremely long-lasting (eg the Voyager probes.)
