I got LimeWire the other day, downloaded a few songs I liked, everything was working well. For some reason now whenever I make a search nothing appears, I turned my firewall off, I uninstalled it and installed again, nothing is working. 😕

Can anyone help?

LimeWire seems to be working again,😳 I think I'll just stick to that...
Soulseek, from its site, said it is best for music of artists that aren't well known, not mainstream music, which isn't what I want.
But I'll keep SoulSeek, maybe I'll find some use for it, later, thanks anyway. 🙂

If you want things to work quickly, and want to avoid virii or spyware, if you prefer not compromising your PC to getting convenient free downloads - don't use any P2P client. We used to buy CD's for $16, or €18, or £10. Paying the online price of 99 cents per song, $9.99 for an album - you're still getting a better deal than buying in the shops - and you have no fear of the security risks (or less fear anyway.)

I'm quite happy infringing on copyrights. 🙂

I agree. I used to use P2P alot when it became very popular. But, after 3-4 months I had so much garbage on my computer (even with continual clean-up) that I walked away from them for good.

What kind of bland, mainstream crap are you downloading anyway?

It's not an issue of copyrights. It's whether you like having your computer loused up with virii and spyware.

Thats what I'm saying. I've seen more garbage because of P2P than anything else... I have fought epic wars against the crud on friend's computers who got the crud from Limewire and Kazaa and such... only to have to admit defeat and format the thing...

My computer will become a paperweight at some point anyway, I virus scan everything I download, but there is only so much I can do. 🙁
