If you feel that Bosse is doing this it is up to you to sow seeds of unrest and try to turn his vassals against him in return for bigger and better rewards!
Some of it's because I am in a bad mood due to real life issues. Sorry about that. Starting with a bad mood and then finding that EVERYONE wants Rome to win sent me over the edge.
In the last shogunate game it was a similar scenario and you were against us with No1 and treetalk, I know a lot was said in the thread about us defecting but I didn't recieve ONE email/PM with any kind of offer or plan. This was an oversight considering the position I was in and the relative ease that I could have attacked bosse or Nook7. I don't know whether I would have, it would have depended on the offer but as none was made I went along. After Kyushu had fallen I petitioned Nook7 to turn against Bosse and see if we could take him out(more for the fun of it) and claim victory for ourselves, he declined and I went with his decision as my suzerain but at least I asked.
Ps. please play the game🙂

I think that maybe we could organise the DL game as a veterans game to stop that???
Originally posted by cadwahI don't enjoy spamming out e-mails. I could, but I wouldn't enjoy it. I guess that this sort of game is not for me despite it seeming to be a wargame.

ATY, this game will definetly be different as Gottschalk and others are top players. l think this will be the best one yet!
Ready for a bit of carnage eh? I can't wait to see which lord I am, more importantly i can't wait to see which other players are nearby.
Originally posted by nook7I'm getting way too frustrated with what are only games. I think it's time for me to take a break from them for a bit.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungI think the games with the Lord-Vassal features stifle diplomatic maneuvering and the draconian penalty for rebelling against a Lord (automatic war with a 10% loss of troops) makes getting a vassal to switch sides nearly impossible. There's much more room for creative treachery in the games without this feature though it looks like it's being introduced in all the new ones. I'm considering getting into another NE after I finish my AOC.

Originally posted by no1marauderPerhaps you have to be more creatively treacherous--sneakier--with the penalty. If you're hitched to a dud lord, you have to find a way out. Your new patron could always compensate you for the cost of lost troops.

Originally posted by Bosse de NageYou're missing the point; the Lord is usually stronger to begin with and you lose 10% of your troops PLUS are at war with him. How many vassals have you gotten to declare against their lords, oh Great One?

Originally posted by no1marauderYes, that's why you have to be extra creative and preferably ensure you have help to pull it off, or he'll swat you.

I've rebelled against a patron and encouraged another to so, in Dragonlords. A question of leaving a sinking ship. And sinking in another one.
As for getting someone to rebel, the trick might be to spot someone who's ripe for it and needs encouragement. With luck, the rebel would be the first to make overtures. I haven't needed to foment rebellion yet, though.

Personally, games where a bunch of people gang up against a few bore me. In the NE we won, it was 3 against 4; in the GW, the initial weight of the forces was against me and my allies. It was a lot more satisfying to win those games then it would have been if 8 others helped me win against 3 without expecting that they would have the slightest chance of winning themselves.
EDIT: And letting KnightWulfe in another game is like inviting IronMan31 to play in the 2007 RHP Championship.
