Hey, he's a rookie and doing at least as well as a certain previous "Tokugawa" did - maybe better. I'll have to go back to the old turnfiles and review the evidence.
Plus, he doesn't let his Mrs. visit every boozy backwater sea shack in Nippon giving "comfort" to the eager patrons like someone did...
Please don't talk about Asakura's wife in public...

I did it in two different games - all went as hoped.
Only puzzling thing was a comment in my messages; 'no Garrison was disbanded, as the fleet's location was now controlled by another realm, and the fleet had nowhere to flee to'
Don't appear to have lost any ships and I didn't build any in the province I gifted ...

Lord Asakura, where is thou fleet?
Could it be that it's resting on the bottom of the (Kashima) sea where the sharks meet?
Now cut the crap, this is what you get when you attack the northern alliance!!!!!!!!
Now we come for your homelands Asakura.....

Hosokawa's glorious victory in Tokushima province spells the inevitable doom of the South. Quit plotting against the north--you've had things too easy, you're unfit!

How has Shikoku managed to not fall yet?!? this is very well done.
A marvellous move with the assassins has resulted in a breakthrough in the centre. Now the Asakura are ripe!
Tokugawa has blustered enough, Asakura has obviously fooled someone down south into letting him stay alive.
It appears the monks are victims of their choice in vassals.
The North comes for the central alliance; and will smash it to pieces.

I did try to warn Tokogawa about his choice in friends, but silver tongues will sway...I doubt he'll last another round.
The Ikko Ikki have declared war against me! General Sadakuni Sadake shakes his fist at me from over the water. What has got him so worked up, I wonder?
Hatano possesses Amako's former holdings. No doubt she will come to Asakura's aid and join in his doom. This is all as it should be.
The prospect of a major battle between North and South looms ever larger. I notice the discrepancy between your fleets is not so great anymore, although Shimazu is building assiduously at home. However, your alliance collectively has more clout in terms of gold. Shall there be whining about mega-alliances again?

There has been little contact from the South so the Northern alliance is left top clean up the rabble in the middle (and the Ikko Ikki) on its own.
Yes , the fleets are closer in size now - very soon their little fleet will look VERY little......
