My steak is under the grill. . . . Yesterday I made a marinade that consisted of:
40ml soy sauce
20ml red wine vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp English mustard
Ohhh how good it tastes cooked rare.. . . .
Anyone have a great recipe they would like to share?
What a waste of a good steak.π
You should fry some onions, red pepper, yellow pepper and mushrooms in a little peri-peri sauce. Remove form pan, turn the heat up high and add the steak and cook for 90 seconds (60 seconds one side then flip over and 30 seconds other side).
Serve with some home made chips.
Lovely.

when done properly, the grill (charcoal only... NO GAS!) can actually bring out the flavor of the meat more than a frying pan. the trick is to sear it really quickly, then reduce the heat of the flame and slow cook it. makes for a really fine meal served with a baked potato with butter and sour cream, and you'll want a salad with Italian dressing. and a huge glass of SWEET tea. cathead biscuits with butter also goes well with it all.

You can beat a good grill when the meat is quality.
