Terrible writing. I think I might have eye cancer after reading that.
Happy New Year, ZB. Appreciate your input to this overdue conversation. Both country and city folks know in their guts that both written as well as spoken language serves many purposes under the sun. Sentence length varies. Harmonious or discordant; staccato or not; long or short components vary with the speaker's style, the situation and need. Jonathan delivers a two word blow: "Cancer trumps". Patient began with "What? What the Hell's wrong?" Doc says, "Max, seven months." A total of ten words loaded to the hilt with significance. And you want sugar?

Conversation's not in any way about the two of us. Neither is it about our subjective cleverness or worthless opinions;
or even our own eventual demise. It does focus on the temporal considerations of the site's population at large.

Temporary considerations is likely more to the point.

Citation would make it more relevant, and less gut-wrenchless!

"Temporary considerations", you say? Nothing more nearly permanent than when some smart chicken sees the block a day

before or when your family doctor tells you it's time. On the other hand, if you mean our immortal souls move on we agree.

"Broadly, a citation is a reference to a published or unpublished source (not always the original source). More precisely, a citation is an abbreviated alphanumeric expression (e.g. [Newell84]) embedded in the body of an intellectual work that denotes an entry in the bibliographic references section of the work for the purpose of acknowledging the relevance of the works of others to the topic of discussion at the spot where the citation appears. Generally the combination of both the in-body citation and the bibliographic entry constitutes what is commonly thought of as a citation (whereas bibliographic entries by themselves are not). References to single, machine-readable assertions in electronic scientific articles are known as nanopublications, a form of microattribution." (wiki)

"Citation"?

Let's say you've been physically active and disgustingly healthy your entire life. You skipped the annual physical required by your employer in 2011. Human Resources insisted that you have the routine check up a week before Thanksgiving. After your family physician walked through the usual inspections of your body he said, ...[text shortened]... tient in view is you? How do you tell the children? What would you do?

I would do very little different. We should all be cognizant of our own mortality. Anyone that thinks they are getting out alive is a fool.

Thank you.
There was a man who came our way,
and challenged our points of view.
he took to task all you say,
and asked what would you do?

Fragile man is but a pawn,
in the greater glory of the Lord.
Your way of life it is torn,
hard to know which way is forward.

I know not which is true, religion or evolution.
No one out there can find the ultimate solution.
But what can you say is the true measure of a man?
Will people say he did the best the he possibly can?

All I know is when you're gone, they will examine you.
Will they say that you have acted true?
Our goal in life is to act with oneness .
I hope to remember you with fondness.

I already told you man.

Have a look at my previous post.

I said that the best way to handle it is to be truthful.

Be honest with yourself and your loved ones.

Your immediate family and your extended family.

After that it's a matter of dealing with the situation day to day.
Handling it as best you can. Information is power. Empower your family
to handle all the problems which lie ahead. It's the only right way to go
and to prepare them. They won't thank you for telling them lies
or fairy tales.

None of my freakin biz nor any of yours. Within the small room of this internet thread, respect for the property; person; privacy;

and rights of others stands as an unwritten and (until now) unspoken ground rule. None are exempt. It applies to and protects all.
