Dylan Thomas

If traditional medicine is not an option, out the alternatives.
One of my favorites. Dylan's voice is like none other (except, maybe, Richard Burton's):

Here's another, apropos of the season:

Thanks... enjoy!

"Temporary considerations", you say? Nothing more nearly permanent than when some smart chicken sees the block a day

before or when your family doctor tells you it's time. On the other hand, if you mean our immortal souls move on we agree.

Surely, no matter what you believe, 72 or 80 or whatever the number makes no sense for a thinking being.

An individual's life on earth is but a fleeting vapor trail. Poof. Gone. Somebody disappeared from his or her life on a wintry evening; in the wee hours

of a coldy arse January night; in lovely spring; on some endless summer day; or during one of the bright blue weather days of Fall. We agree.

That's "the" question.

Assuming you mean dimensions to life on earth. Yes?

Get them to celebrate the fact that you, and they, got the luxury of seven months notice to vacate existence, and the expensive concoctions from your physician will keep you comfortable and philosophical until the end.

Ask them to focus on those whose deaths are more sudden, premature and brutal than yours.

In 1955, my grandfather was given 6 months to live. The doctor told my grandmother
and my father to get his affairs in order quickly.

My grandfather died in 1976. Doctors are not always correct, are they?

Don't worry about it. You made your peace, right? Why are you still holding on. Doubts?

Well said but they generally get it (ballpark) right.

Well, for one thing I've got ten games in progress here (along with nine at Chess.com and three on GameKnot).

Also, think there's still 3-4 more threads in gb's hopper. And some fine people he'd like say farewells to in a pub.
