You may look into using a proxy on your browser, it may do an endrun around your companies server, or at least not let them know where you have been.

Used computers with enough to browse the internet can be picked up for under 200 bucks.. Even low end pentiums can get for under 100.. heck. I just gave away a Celeron 533 with 17" monitor.. It doesn't have to be anything fancy to get on the internet, and, then you would have to pay 10$ a month internet though.. for dialup

edit: well.. in Canada at least.. not sure what it would be like where you are

Thanks y'all for your suggestions. The most feasible in the mean time appears to be the cybercafe option...

Do you have WIFI networks where you are? If so you could (when u
can afford it) get a WIFI enabled laptop and play anywhere. I imagine
the WIFI network IP's would charge an arm and a leg though.

Some of the PC's available via online compamies are very cheap. Dell offer excellent choices at good prices. They also have finance available.

good luck

I'm going to confess something here...I occasionally (when I've completed my work, informers) work in a maximum security prison, and I've made moves on rhp from there.

Yeah but you get to go home at night! Just mean you probably use
a differant version of the net that may be available to prisoners
if they are allowed access at all.

a patch has recently been released by the company to cure this problem, but if your employers don't have the patch you are laughing.
Wow! Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that.

Is that the same bug that causes the CPU Utilization on the host to spike though? The Malformed Extension Data in URL bug? Or is that something else?

EDIT - nevermind.. different thing all together.. I found the bug you mentioned.. specific only to SurfControl

I was wondering if Russ could do something to kee ...[text shortened]... on by this monitoring software otherwise, I am doomed. Can anyone help me with this predicament?
Where I live which is in Australia in the Blue Mountains they have a library here and you can book a computer for up to one hour a day for free if you are a member already and that's where I check all my email and play games on rhp. Maybe you have a library near you that lets you do the same thing? Then you don't need to miss out. Good luck. Mary

Can't you just build a really low spec machine from second hand parts for now, then upgrade as and when you need to. If all you want to do is access RHP, then almost any machine will do, as long as you can install an internet browser on it.
