Hey, I never claimed to be a prophet. For that you need to speak to the Turks.

Faced with two possible explanations, I prefer the simpler and I believe he's unknown to Bavaria, who may have taken a gamble, but a calculated one. EOS.

Ask the GM who would have appointed the player from a standing queue. The sheer randomness of this would argue against you.

In case you didn't notice, check the Removed Players list for this site. We play a game here but some people don't play it honestly. The only thing I know about you is that you're a petty, vindictive jerk who already tried to get me tossed from this game. That's your idea of honor?

You've given no explanation for why a player would ...[text shortened]... ld think it isn't, given that the site says there has been problems of this sort before.
Petty and vindictive?

I repeatedly asked you to stop personally insulting me in this forum...you refused. I took it to the next level. YOU brought that on chum.
So yea....there is honour in that.

As to an explanation of why I would do something... No. Flat out - I need not explain a thing to you. My diplomatic reasoning is for me and me alone. You are not privy to it.

I sent the following to the GM; unlike you I don't sneak around behind people's backs. Respond to him if you want to:

I have an inquiry regarding the above captioned game. A new player, billjarrell, entered the game last turn (turn 8) as Poland. In his first turn, Bavaria, which is one of the leaders in the game, allowed Poland passage through Ratisbon and Moravia even though they were both unprotected (and Ratisbon is, of course, a 21 gold province). I spoke to Bavaria and he claims that he doesn't know the Polish player at all and this was just "good diplomacy".

I find this highly suspicious; Poland could have immediately cancelled the alliance and went to war next turn, seizing Bavaria's heartland at no cost and with devastating consequences to that realm. What's more, Ratisbon and the rest of this area was not threatened by any other realm, so there was no need for such drastic measures (I, has Venice, have granted Sicily full passage, but I have been hard pressed to hold for a number of turns and would have been eliminated by now in all probability if I had not done so).

Please examine the resultfiles and run whatever checks you normally do to make sure that everything is on the up and up. I am loath to report such an incident to the GM, but I can see no reasonable explanation for this truly bizarre behavior. I hope this is not a case of "multying" or some other dishonesty. I will abide by whatever decision you make.

EDIT: You have a very odd notion of "honor".

I sent my own too. A public accusation of cheating is Libel, BTW. I thought you were a lawyer? You really should have kept this to yourself and pursued in privately.

Edit: I hope this gets you booted from the game and your NW game as well.

You used the word cheating first, not I. Sue me, I'd luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv to cross-examine somebody as hysterical as you.

You said that you smelled a rat - or were you just refering to the scent on your upper lip at the time?

Calling someone a rat is calling them a cheat.

Yes. Or rather, it's already called Constantinople. It started out as Byzantium, but it was renamed long before the time you are in now.
I can look it up because my facts and dates may be dodgy (although roughly accurate) but Emperor Constantine split the Roman Empire in two in about 450 AD, founded the city and named it after himself. Initially they were the Eastern and Western Roman empires with two emperors. Later renamed the Byzantine Empire or Byzantium for short. Once captured by the Turks in 1453 it was renamed as Istanbul. Some say that the capture was a mistake as Istanbul markedly declined as a trading centre. The trade centres between the East and the West simply moved elsewhere.

You must have a different dictionary than I do.

Don't play idiot no1 - you used the term to refer to me as a cheat.

Whatever you're doing that's hurting your vision please stop; he signed himself "Bill, Grand Poobah of Poland" in the MD forum.

No, I didn't. "Smelled a rat" is a phrase that means one finds something suspicious or questionable. If you had given some kind of explanation, I would have never bothered to send anything to the GM despite the very odd moves; I would have just figured that you're not too bright to leave yourself wide open like that. But with your hysterical response "methinks thou protesth too much" in the words of the Bard.

EDIT: Patrick Henry was elected as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, but declined, because he "smelt a rat."

Constantine started to rebuild Byzantium in 324, and it became "Nova Roma" or Constantinople in 330. At least that's what my encyclopaedia says.

True, so a logical conclusion is that his name is Bill Jarrell ain't it? I personally use evidence to make reasonable conclusions; you should try it sometime.
