I received word from the GM about the cheating accusation made by no1, and was found not to be guilty of any such thing.
If no1 wishes it, I will post the email I received from the GMs on the matter. Otherwise, I will let the matter drop.
I have received nothing from the GM except the first generic response.
Post both your original message to the GM and his response assuming you have nothing to hide.

The problem was not that you quoted something which might not have been public information, but that the quote contained an e-mail address. There are programs which search the internet for e-mail addresses and add them to address lists for spammers. Therefore it's a bad idea to post e-mail addresses on public forums, even if the addresses are not secret.

You have also. So have most realms on the map by allowing a few nations to get stronger than the rest with no challenge whatsoever. You don't have a clue about strategy and neither apparently do most of the players in this game. You're supposed to knock down the most powerful nations if you are to have any chance of winning, not continually save their as ...[text shortened]... any type of difficulty. You and others have not played the game to win at all and you won't.
In this game called Diplomacy, *you* are *supposed* to be diplomatic with your opponents. The fact that you have not made the slightest effort to do so spells your doom. Diplomacy, not tactics, is what will "save your ass" and enable one to win.
I and the others have not played to win? Tell me that again *after* we have won, you moron.
Originally posted by StarrmanI daresay we *all* have a better grip on the concept of this game than no1 does...
Allying yourself as part of a strong coalition is just as viable a way of winning as attempting to put down the strongest nations to secure your own ascendency. Just because your strategy is one of attack, does not make it the best way of winning.
Originally posted by no1marauderYes, you can tell which countries MAY win, by being in the winning coalition.
How many nations can be in a winning coalition?? Answer: 4. Look at the board right now and you can already tell who's going to win. Continuing to aid these countries is not in the other realms' best interest if they want to have any chance of victory.
EDIT: And you ain't one of them.
Hint: And you ain't one of them either.
Originally posted by no1marauderAnother Hint: Fearmongering does not take the place of the Diplomacy at which you have already failed.
The game favors those who already are ahead; they're able to build more troops each turn so their advantage only grows with time. Cooperating with them in the short run under the assumption that later you'll be able to turn on them and defeat them is wishful thinking. The time is now to knock down the powerful countries before their advantage gets too overwhelming.

Originally posted by no1marauderHmmmm, and just *how* did these countries get ahead? Superior tactics? You say no. Perhaps it's something else? Like... I don't know... diplomacy maybe?
Of course, IF you're one of the four. If you're one of the other 19 such a strategy only assures that you'll lose slower. Norway in this game is a perfect example; by stubbornly attaching himself to Saxony's teat in their war with Denmark, he's assured that he can never expand sufficiently to have any chance of winning. Rolling the dice and allying with ...[text shortened]... ings with them; you come to them with a begging bowl rather than a position of strength.

Originally posted by SuzianneThanks for the air headed advice; while your "allies" have been grabbing territory you've done very little. Amusingly enough, you presently have less Gold value provinces then Venice does! So despite your boot licking adoration of KW you're not doing all that well, Princess Dimwit.
Another Hint: Fearmongering does not take the place of the Diplomacy at which you have already failed.

If the Polish forces in Ratisbon don't move and the troops in Moravia link up with them + the Warsaw troops start moving into your provinces, then we'll know you blundered away the game. I'll be quite amused if it plays out that way; at present you're totally at Poland's mercy..

I slightly care what the GM tells me when he answers my e-mail but my future happiness in life is not reliant on it. I will find it most humorous if you have boneheadedly lost the game because of your extreme obsession with me. That would be quite funny, don't you agree?
