I've communicated with Poland letting him know that any hostilities towards the Horde and even the presence of large armies on the Horde's border will not/are not appreciated by Hungary, the Khan's ally. Hopefully he will see the light of reason. If not, more loots for us I guess.
If you wish, the Republic would be happy to assist you in destroying the Polish menace for the cheap price of the return of my provinces and the scuttling of your junks polluting Dalmatia's harbor. Have your people give my people a call.

I'll be fascinated to see what happens. Poland has moved two reasonably sized armies to the Horde border and can seize two absolutely unprotected provinces this turn. The Mongols don't have any forces closer than 4 provinces away. They obviously moved those troops into position with the intention of striking at the Horde and those troops are not in range ...[text shortened]... ng from a nation that is heavily engaged in a war? I doubt it; I think the Poles are going in.

They'd be fools to go in. The only reasons they might do so are 1) inexperience and 2) vulnerability to no1's manipulations and fast talking skills (or the e-mail equivalent).

EDIT: I rate the Polish army as about equal to the Horde; the Mongols have about 300 more Combat Strength, but the Poles have about 30 extra hit points.

Really? I remember something about him complaining how taking over an abandoned position in an established game was a "poor introduction to the game" or something on the discussion board. Maybe that was someone else talking about him and making assumptions.
EDIT - It was someone else who actually was a noob who experienced a similar situation. So the guy's a veteran eh? Hmm. Doesn't bode well for you, Khan.
