This is really getting ridiculous; Bavaria takes Poland's last two provinces yet the Poles continue to march on Rome with the Hungarians (and providing them the decisive advantage yet again!).

I'm getting married tomorrow, so I'm submitting my orders for the week today. Don't bother sending me any messages as I won't be here to answer them. Not unless the rooms in the Grand Hotel, on Mackinac Island, have internet connection.

I might get the new MD map up ...[text shortened]... re, it's doubtful I'll find time for that one.

Edit: maps are done (MD map, that is)
I see Novgorod is about to reap the inevitable reward all allies of the Horde get.

I have a MD Strategy question; what is Poland's strategic goal in ceding its last two provinces to Bavaria (I thought this wasn't allowed)? And if they weren't ceded, why did Bavaria go to war with Poland and attack two provinces with such meagre forces when Poland has a 850 CS army right there (it conveniently moved a province away)?

1. There are extenuating circumstances with Novgorod that do not concern you.

2. I don't know why Bavaria has put up with Poland's foul presence this long. The semi-mute Polish king has overstayed his welcome by far.

Good luck to you in NE, No1, but I feel this turn may be your last in MD.

1. There always are "extenuating circumstances" so far as you're concerned. That's why I didn't want you at my back in NE.

2. Poland's "foul presence" is what got Bavaria Venice. Apparently Poland is about to selflessly perform the same service for Hungary in Rome.

The way my executioners keep blundering you never know; I should have been gone long ago.

If you are going to step down when you get eliminated, I will take over the calculations and posting of the standings if you would be so kind as to give me your formula so I can keep it consistent for this game.

I won't have access to a turnfile, so I don't have the option of continuing once I am eliminated. As I said, it's just an ordinal rating system with first place being worth 23 points, second 22, third 21 and so on X the multiplier in each category, which are 5,4,3,2,1 for Province Gold, Land CS, Land HP, Naval CS and Naval HP respectively. It does require every unit to be identified and totalled and the CS of units with Commanders to be adjusted. It takes a couple hours, usually.

So which was it: did Poland cede you their last two provinces or did you declare war and attack his territory witn two units when he had an 850 CS unit? Either way he was certainly accomodating, wasn't he?

Actually, he broke alliance with me last turn. I decided not to wait for him to declare war and due to previous information, he said he was moving to take Rome, so I figured that I would move one unit into Lombardi and 2 into Friuli and see what happened and...it played out well for me, I think. Of course, he could just take Lombardy back..... He is not talkin anymore. Hungary believes that he is working with Sicily now. I honestly dont know.

Thanks for the formula, I will keep your ranking post alive. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

When you are counting Commanders, are you factoring in their influence on all troops in the province they are in? Or are you not factoring in the Commander influence?
