Interesting. You're acting ALL ALONE - but Saxony's turning into a bot denied you victory. Which is it? Do you need outside help or not? Make up your mind.

So you were aiming for solo victory all along?! You fiend.
I'm curious how you planned to get to 500 gold and win the game without being challenged. You do know that the westerners only need 500 combined to block your victory, right?
Even if they didn't challenge, I don't see how you planned to get to even 500 even with Saxony's help.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageNo. I would have been willing to share with up to 2 partners if they were able to hold their own end of the deal. But I would have had no qualms at grabbing a solo victory if the opportunity had presented itself. If the Saxons could have kept Aquitaine at bay for a little while longer I think I could have gotten to the 500 mark.

Originally posted by Bosse de NageI don't know. A long time ago. I thought I'd be able to form my own alternate coalition in the meantime. You and me combined have 732. Only 18 more to go and we can declare victory as major partners. What do you say, old chum? 🙂
When did you first hear that a coalition had been formed to take you out?
Originally posted by AThousandYoungI would have been perfectly happy to share victory with Saxony as long as Saxony was in a position to do so. When he fell on hard times that was no longer feasible, so a solo victory seemed attainable for a while.
While you were a crappy ally, as you planned to use him to achieve solo victory instead of helping him out.

I started plotting a long time ago. At one stage, quite a few more than four realms expressed interest--but some kept on dragging their heels...wonder why...

Originally posted by rwingettThat's true. But then you'd need 25% more gold after that modifier than the opposition. So if you had 500, you'd get an adjusted 750, and your opponents would need an adjusted 600 to block.
With only two partners, we'd get a +25% bonus. As a solo partner I would have gotten a +50% bonus.
EDIT - 2 partners with 750 would get 25% bonus = 938, but the opposition would have ~750 with a 10% bonus and you'd need to beat THAT by 25% = 1031.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungHe would need 25% more IF they met victory conditions and IF they chose to challenge him.
That's true. But then you'd need 25% more gold after that modifier than the opposition. So if you had 500, you'd get an adjusted 750, and your opponents would need an adjusted...just under 600 to block.
