Hmm Leeuwarden, I guess it's possible to live even further away from Utrecht. Cool that you'd like to come. We're still waiting for an enormeous host of posts from interested people. Then we can decide which weekend it'll be. For me, october is fine too. I have no idea what beer they have in the pub I had in mind though, but I'm sure they have several 😉
I'm not forgetting anything, apart maybe from finishing my study 😉. It seems that only few are interested in the meet-up. That's too bad. All those boring people can just as well come join us in our quest for beer, chess and getting to know eachother. It's only a weekend. Don;t say you've got more important stuff to do!

As to the Duke: Cool that you'd like to come. The idea so far is Utrecht. Would that be ok with you? The date we have in mind should be a saturday in the end of september or the beginning of october.

On the first major canal you bump into when leaving Central Station (via the shopping mall) you have a couple of good pubs. One of them (I believe it's called "Albert's", is quite spacious.
And Utrecht is one of the prettiest cities in Holland!
