See you are doing it here! noting stuff. Does this noting stuff imbue your criticisms with some significance beyond that which you yourself have inflated them with? In the instance terms like , distasteful, offensive etc

You are, it would seem, content to portray yourself as gullible and to portray "moving on" after a weasely supposed apology as commendable in some way. The "Facts hurt. Truth stings" retort was Grampy Bobby cocking the snook at everyone, including you.
You say gullible, i say trusting.

A few years ago a lady came to my door and said she was a neighbour, a few doors down. She said her car wouldn't start and that she had to get to an interview by taxi, and that she had no cash on her. All i had on me was a 20 pound note which i duly gave her. Gratefully she said she would drop the money back that evening. - As it transpired, she wasn't a neighbour at all and i never saw her (or my 20 pounds again).

My wife said afterwards that i was silly to lend her (a stranger) the money. Perhaps it could be argued that i was gullible there too?! Bottom line though, i don't want to live in a world where i can't trust people and take them at their word, even if it does expose me to the occasional cowboy. (Or 'cowgirl' in that instance). I choose to believe people, rather than question their motives or sincerity. I find it leads to a happier existence.

You're fumbling so hard to land blows you seem to think it's not obvious that you are pretending not to understand what it is you are being tackled on: your inconsistency and hypocrisy about opinions that you declare to be "unsubstantiated" and "meaningless" (over and over again) which is robbiespeak for 'I don't agree with these opinions of yours so I'm goin ...[text shortened]... [i]'I'm dodging what you've said and here are some ad hominems thrown in for good measure.'
This is just more meaningless drivel, sorry, maybe someone can relate to it, I certainly dont.

Do you think FMF taking notice of stuff imbues it with significance?
If you don't want to exchange opinions, observations and ideas you disagree with, one wonders what you are doing on a message board. Me commenting on your behaviour has more or less the same "significance" as you commenting on mine.

Same old dodge + repeated ad hominem.

'I note. . . .' must be like a magic word, like Open Sesame! or Abracadabra! What seems to happen is that it inflates ones opinions to the point of becoming factual. All you need to do is note it and it happens! amazzzzzing.

The two things are conflated in this instance. It later became clear that perhaps the most offensive thing he said had not been covered by the apology - the one you had placed your trust in - at all. He referred to his smearing of those who disagreed with his as "liars" as "fact" and "truth" weeks later. Some apology "for causing offence" that was, eh?Gullible v Trusting, use either word by all means. It amounts to the same thing here.

"I note..." is merely a figure of speech to introduce an observation or opinion. You're scraping the barrel.

Yes, it's just a figure of speech. You seem to have run out of ideas completely.

Memorable event. I share the sentiment expressed in your concluding sentences.

How many threads did you start in 2015 with the express purpose of hectoring and reprimanding unnamed members of the community in which the content of your copy pastes included passages urging readers to question the motives and sincerity of the people you were seeking to browbeat for posting in ways you disapproved of?

Grampy Bobby, you have dropped so many interpersonal clangers in your thread-after-thread efforts to smother this forum with your conceited sweeping censure of contributions and contributors you do not like, you are hardly able to utter a word about the issues and disagreements involved without coming across as a hypocrite. 😉
