I just had me a bag of microwave popcorn, and while they tasted fine I must
say the bottom of the bag was covered in so much salt my tongue is actually
hurting right now.

Popcorn should be sweet, not salty.

Kettle corn is good for the first few bites, then it gets to be a bit much.

"Popcorn" has two syllables. So has "sugar". So they fit together. Adding salt instead of sugar leaves that poor second syllable all on its own. That's cruel.

Alright, alright! I don't much care for sweets! They make me react like most people react to something really sour. I can have a couple bites, and it does taste good... but it overwhelms me. I can't even finish a piece of cake or pie.

Salty is two syllables.

Care to count the syllables in sweet?
