I checked out some episode with kangaroo boxing. it was slightly amusing, but other than that, it was embarrassingly bad. maybe you need to be british to fully get it?

I thought the first one was hilarious. I particularly liked the recurring "cup in the shirt pocket" thing. The second episode was (IMO) kind of so-so, but it's the same way with a lot of shows. They all have their ups and downs. I'll definitely watch a few more.

I've heard that the first season is kinda lukewarm -- which I think holds true for many of my favorite Brit comedies: Blackadder, Red Dwarf, etc.

I couldn't make it through the first couple of this show, either. I did enjoy the zoo guy who can't call animals by their proper names. Referring to the python (or was it a boa?) as "the windy man -- the long mover" was amusing.
