MLB will now suspend any player 50 days for first offence, 100 days the second time... and a lifetime ban after that.

They've been talking about it on the radio, but I have not seen it in print anywere yet.

It should be 50 games, not days. Or 100 games, not days. Then a lifetime ban. I'm sure the point would be much more thoroughly understood that way.

With any luck I wrote it wrong... They may be talking games, rather than days.

Use any search engine and you can be enlightened to many things like mlb and whatever else seems to constantly confuse you.

How major is that league then?

Is it like a competition between medium ranking army officers???

Sounds like complete and utter bollocks to me Phlabby.

Also, I heard the report again on the radio. Games, not Days... and they still need to get the deal ratified with the player's union or something.

Perhaps you should start a thread about a sport that interests you... then maybe I'd read it.

They're grown men; who cares what they do with their own bodies? Next there'll be suspending them for 50 games for chewing tobacco because they're "role models" and we don't want Little Leaguers with a chaw! Ridiculous.

No, but I heard I'd like it. I have a sports station AM 790 and 99.7 FM 'the score'. I also listen to New Radio 88 if they are talking about something dumb like Hoops or College sports.

You gripe never-endingly about cheaters here yet you don't care whether baseball players use steroids or not?

I was just guessing because they reported that news on NHPR at about the time you heard it again.
