What was the most disturbing film you ever saw?

For me? Probably "Kids", "Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer", "Man Bites Dog", "Killing Zoe", "Happiness"...I'll need to think of a few more.

The Texas chainsaw massacre, well actually not so much disturbing, more just annoying. In the end you want the main girl to die just so she shuts up with all that screaming.

Meh, not really into these torture porn (read: horror) movies.

The ones which stand out for being very odd are mostly Japanese & Chinese.
Ichi the Killer.
Battle Royal.

The American equivalents:
Hostel
SAW
Wrong turn (U-turn?)

Recently saw a good film which also had a rather ... macabre and deranged twist called Old Boy.

Funny Games. Confronting, depressing, but fascinating.
