Thanks I didn't have one of those, in the pic (thanks I was pasting the dot) it was in the computer in the back, but I've unpluged it and it seams fine.

Try using Trillian. You can combine several different messenger services on one application with less bells and whistles but will take up less hard drive space, if you want to be able to use more than one IM service. Still it will allow you the advantage of communicating from a single application to several users at once with less clutter on different communication systems. And it has a history of all communications built in which can be deleted at any time.
