How many musicians do we have out there? If so, name your instrument and how long you've played it...

For me:

Piano-9yrs.
Electric Guitar-1 year

Better heard than words of ....!....

Much appreciated tho......thnx......

Recuerdos and Concierto de Aranjuez are now a doddle...... after many years of learning and re-trying daily...

keep going yourself....... You'll get there, to where you aim, with hours of fun and creation. 🙂

I've always had the shared dream of becoming some kind of big star...I'm a pretty good songwriter, and have written a good amount of songs...but I'm not much of a lyricist, so that's where I get by with a little help from my friends...

I've been playing the horn (i.e., French Horn) on virtually a daily basis for 43 years.

. . . Great God! I’d rather be
A pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathed horn.
– William Wordsworth, 1770-1850

Unbelievable...43 years...that's quite a commitment...

That quote was from "The world is too much with us", right? I remember reading something like that in an English Literature class I took...

Yes, you're correct. That's the first line of the sonnet from which I quoted. (I've played in orchestras all over North America, and I still play every day. Pardon me, but I must get back to my daily practice!)

Cello - about 30 years
Piano - depends on what you count

I have a really hard time to get myself to continue to practise regularly, so I am getting worse rather than better. 🙁 It helps to have some chamber music projects and gigs, but I practise faaaaaaar too little.
