I'm going to build up to 5 miles in incraments of 0.5 miles. I will then keep that up for maybe two months, changing my runs to hilly parts of the city, or maybe run through pheonix park...mixing it up a bit. My first proper run will be 5 miles in July, followed by 10 miles, half marathon, and full marathon ( i hope)...The Ma ...[text shortened]... he half marathon, otherwise i'll make a fool of myself hehe.

Good luck with the run mate.
Why don't you complete the marathon playing your guitar and singing? Now that would be a challenge!

It shouldn't hurt afterwards.

Just don't drink & run.

As a lifelong runner, I would suggest that since you're at the 3 mile point and doing it in 31 minutes, stop adding distance until you get your time per mile down to less than 8 minutes/mile.
